I was thoroughly impressed with the Library Collection Development course offered by Stanmore School of Business. As a librarian in China, I was eager to learn more about collection development strategies and how to apply them in my own institution. The course materials were extremely relevant and of high quality, covering topics such as collection analysis, budgeting, and community engagement. I particularly appreciated the case studies and group discussions, which allowed me to learn from my peers and apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios. The course has helped me to develop a more nuanced understanding of collection development and I am confident that I can now make more informed decisions about our library's collection. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the course and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in library collection development.
I just finished the Library Collection Development course and I have to say, it was pretty cool. I mean, I didn't know much about collection development before, but now I feel like I have a good grasp of the basics. The course was pretty laid back, but the instructor was really knowledgeable and provided some great examples of how to apply the concepts in different libraries. I liked that we got to work on some practical exercises, like evaluating a collection and creating a budget plan. It was also cool to see how different libraries approach collection development in different countries. One thing that would have been nice is if we had more time to discuss some of the topics in more depth, but overall I'm happy with what I learned and I think it will be useful in my future career as a librarian.

The Library Collection Development course at Stanmore School of Business was a detailed and comprehensive program that provided me with a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of collection development. As a librarian in Ghana, I was interested in learning more about how to develop a collection that is relevant and responsive to the needs of our community. The course covered a wide range of topics, including collection analysis, selection, and evaluation, as well as budgeting and community engagement. I appreciated the structured approach to the course, which included regular assignments and discussions that helped to reinforce my learning. One area for improvement could be the inclusion of more case studies or examples from African libraries, which would have been helpful in illustrating the application of the concepts in our context. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with the course and believe that it has provided me with the knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on our library's collection and services.
